Although I've changed you many times,
I know I haven't found-
The perfect way to pin you down,
To stop you turning round.
I use my elbows, hands and knees,
To try to hold you still,
But none of these can ever match
Your acrobatic skill.
Although I've changed you many times,
So many times each day,
Despite my vast experience,
You often crawl away.
I must admit, although I'm quick,
It takes some expertise,
To beat a baby in a race,
When on your hands and knees.
You turn around and smile at me,
(Your bum completely brown,)
I'm fearing for my carpet when I cry:
"Please don't sit down!"
Although I've changed you many times,
I'm not sure what to do,
When I can see I'm out of wipes,
And you have done a poo.
I race away to get some more,
As fast as fast can be,
And hope and pray, with fingers crossed,
That you don't do a wee!
Although I've changed you many times,
It's what I have to do,
The truth is, baby, you've changed me,
Far more than I've changed you.
